This month out theme is Sympathy.  These are always hard cards to make for lot's of reasons.  I like my sympathy cards to be Clean and Simple.

I have used All the good things stamp set.

The colour scheme is white, silver and Basic Grey.

I have used the new Frosted and clear epoxy droplets to add a bit of something.

Here's a quick video.

Holiday Cataloue Preview Ink & Share Blog Hop

Welcome to this months Ink & Share Blog Hop,  we are a group of Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators who get together once a month to inspire.  This month we are working with new product from the up coming Winter Catalogue.

One of the Christmas bundles I've ordered this year is Festive Farmhouse.  It's a lovely set and I will be making Christmas projects with it later, watch this space!  But for today I'm making a New Home card.

Product available to buy from 5th September!

Above is the front cover of the new catalogue and some of the items I've used to make this card.  The Pick a Pennant is from the Annual Catalogue.

This is the front of my card, I just love this Buffalo Check background stamp.  The Large Letter Framelits dies are from the Annual catalogue and I have just received them in my latest order, so I obviously had to use them!

The inside of my card is a POP UP! Although it's not obvious from my photo I used the new shimmer paint (Frost White) for my background, mixed with Surgical Spirit and some drops of re-inker in one of the spritzer bottles. It gives a lovely sparkly sheen to my sky and grass.

I have heard you can use Rubbing Alcohol  to mix your frosty paint with and I thought that Surgical Spirit was the UK alternative, but I've since heard that's it not! Very confusing, I can say that the surgical spirit does work but it does have a smell of it's own, this does wear off after a few days.  I have also tried with water and I think it works better with the surgical spirit, paper has less warp and it dries quicker.  My next job will be to order some Rubbing Alcohol from Amazon and give that a try.

This card front works really well on it's own, so short on time, no need to do the pop up.

It's always handy to find another use for a Christmas stamp set!
