Paper Pumpkin UK for the Month of May Spoiler

I have in my hands the May Paper Pumpkin kit!  Normally only available from Stampin' Up! to US customers.  This month as a special it's available to the UK for £20.

In the kit has everything you need to make 12 cards (not including a block/mount for your stamp).

So even when you have put your card together you still have stamps and an ink to use on other projects.

The idea of a Paper Pumpkin is you receive a kit each month with suprise contents.  So if you don't want to know whats in the box don't look any further and certainly do not look at my video opening my box!

What a great kit, check out my video, I’ve made three of the cards.  I’ve used my own choice of sentiments for the cards, still from same stamp but as I use lots of Thank You Cards that’s the way I wanted to roll.

Come back tomorrow as I have made another card using the stamp set from the kit.  Just to show you what other great projects you can make once the kit is finished.

Bird Box Greeting Card

The Free as a Bird Stamp Set has inspired me to make a couple of cute cards.  They are both made the same way but one uses DSP which makes it quicker to make.

I have tried to design this card simple enough for a casual card maker and interesting enough for an avid card maker.

On the first card I’ve stamped my birds and fussy cut my bird inside the card from the beautiful Designer Series Paper.  This is more time consuming than my second card as there is a fair bit of colouring involved.  I’ve also stamped my birds twice and fussy cut the birds which have been popped up for added dimension.

The second card was made in the same way but I’ve used the Designer Series Paper instead of Stamping and colouring, this saves some time.  This second card is one we will be making in my June card class, but I wanted to show my ladies another way to make at home as they will all be receiving their own Free as a Bird Stamp Set.

This card is 6 x 5” to fit into a 6 x 6 envelope.  Card base started at 10” x 6” and I scored at 5” on the 10” side.

Cut through both layers of card stock.

I have made a video so you can follow how I made these cards.

Stamping Around the World May Blog Hop

Welcome to May’s Stamping Around the World Blog Hop, I hope you find heaps of inspiration this month.

I’m using the Piece of Cake stamps set and punch today.  This is a really easy card to make, clean & simple but effective.  I have also decorated an acetate box to hold four cards.

Some of the product used above.

I’ve used two colours for my background stamps, Flirty Flamingo and Bermuda Bay. I stamped off for each colour as I didn’t want the background too dark.

My cakes were coloured in in different colours, my favourite is the Bermuda Bay cake on Flirty Flamingo background.

I made a quick card box using the acetate boxes, just a belly band and a tag.  Now ready to give as a small gift.

Check out my short video.
