I've made a little video below.

This is such a super set for making quick cards.

Holiday Cataloue Preview Ink & Share Blog Hop

Welcome to this months Ink & Share Blog Hop,  we are a group of Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrators who get together once a month to inspire.  This month we are working with new product from the up coming Winter Catalogue.

One of the Christmas bundles I've ordered this year is Festive Farmhouse.  It's a lovely set and I will be making Christmas projects with it later, watch this space!  But for today I'm making a New Home card.

Product available to buy from 5th September!

Above is the front cover of the new catalogue and some of the items I've used to make this card.  The Pick a Pennant is from the Annual Catalogue.

This is the front of my card, I just love this Buffalo Check background stamp.  The Large Letter Framelits dies are from the Annual catalogue and I have just received them in my latest order, so I obviously had to use them!

The inside of my card is a POP UP! Although it's not obvious from my photo I used the new shimmer paint (Frost White) for my background, mixed with Surgical Spirit and some drops of re-inker in one of the spritzer bottles. It gives a lovely sparkly sheen to my sky and grass.

I have heard you can use Rubbing Alcohol  to mix your frosty paint with and I thought that Surgical Spirit was the UK alternative, but I've since heard that's it not! Very confusing, I can say that the surgical spirit does work but it does have a smell of it's own, this does wear off after a few days.  I have also tried with water and I think it works better with the surgical spirit, paper has less warp and it dries quicker.  My next job will be to order some Rubbing Alcohol from Amazon and give that a try.

This card front works really well on it's own, so short on time, no need to do the pop up.

It's always handy to find another use for a Christmas stamp set!

Whizz-Bang Wednesday quick card

Welcome to this weeks Whizz-Bang Wednesday.  I'm using the Tropical Chic stamp set, again, I know but I do love this set!

This card is just cutting and stamping, I've finished it off with a few sequins!  Can't beat a bit of sparkle.

The base is an A4 sheet of thick Whisper White card stock, cut at 20cm and then scored at 10cm to make a DL size card base.

I have used Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist for my next two layers and finished off with Whisper White (this is my stamping layer.

Layers

Bermuda Bay               20.5cm x 9.5cm
Lemon Lime Twist       9 x 20cm
Whisper White             19.5 x 8.5cm

My inks used were Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green and Mossy Meadow.

I have, as always, made a short video below.
