Pretty Bird Birthday Card

I’ve made a lovely card using the Free as a Bird bundle, not that tricky either.

I roughly cut one of the birds from the DSP, I choose a bird that went nicely with my chosen background paper.
I stuck my bird to a piece of scrap Card stock then coloured his feet with crumb cake on a finger dauber, this is so when you fussy cut the bird the feet blend into the background as it’s too tricky to cut around the tiny lines.

On my strip of Whisper White I have torn in a controlled way down both long edges, then using my sponge dauber and Crumb Cake blended all over edges and middle, creating an aged, vintage feel.  I’ve stamped off using Crumb Cake again on my torn strip of Whisper White, using the leaf and sentiment stamps.

The branch is from Seasons Dies, I have stuck some adhesive sheet to the back of Soft Suede before die cutting the branch. I also added a couple of sequins.

If I made this again, I would tuck some of the pretty scalloped lace trim under the Card stock.  I thought of it too late!

A pretty card which I enjoyed making, watch the video below to see how I made this card.
