Welcome to this months Ink. Stamp. Share blog hop, you may of hopped from Tricia Butts great project, thanks Tricia, or maybe you started with me today. This month our theme is Fancy Fold, who doesn't love a fancy fold card.
I’m using the great new stamp set Sailing Home for this Tent Fold Card.
This my first time making this style of card and I love it. It stands up really well and looks good too.
Can you see the waves made with the High Seas 3D embossing folder. I coloured my vellum with Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay before running through the embossing folder. Wait for it to dry first.
Hard to photo from side, you can see the fold at the bottom which keeps this card upright but also folds flat to go into envelope. There is also the hanging vellum inside the card. You don’t have to use vellum inside you could use a DSP. You could also just stick DSP to the back of the card and not have the hanging feature at all.
I’ve die cut Whisper White with the largest Nesting Stitched dies for somewhere to write your message, then added to the back of the card.
I’ve carefully stuck the Braided Linen Trim round my circle cut out, finishing where I knew I would be sticking my embellishments. This works well as the trim is flat.
What would I do differently? I would use a lighter colour on my sea or maybe add a white background. But I’m pretty happy with it.
