Stampin’ Up! Casing the Catalogue Stamp ‘n Hop

Today on Stamp ‘n Hop we are casing the Annual Catalogue.

Thanks for joining in with this months hop, you may of hopped from  Jenn Charles or maybe you have started here, please hop along and see everyone's projects, leave a comment if you see something you like, we all love to receive comments!

CASE - Copy and share everything   So if you see a card you like go ahead and copy or get inspiration from that project.  Usually your card will turn out very different!

So my casing always turns out very different!  I've cased two projects from the Annual Catalogue Page 83 for my card and Pg 63 the box.

I started with choosing four colours plus silver embossing powder.

I stamped my shells all over my base as close as possible without touching, although I did overlap a couple!  I then filled in the background using my blender pens.  This is a tad time consuming but looks so good when finished, it makes your images pop!

My seahorses were stamped on one of the Stitched Nesting Dies then coloured in with my blends.  I made a mask so I could stamp over the seahorse using the dotty stamp in Seaside Notions and added silver embossing powder this looks lovely, I also added a Rhinestone for the eye.

I roughed the edges of my layer up and on two of the layers I made some cuts and curled the cardstock, my husband thought this was a mistake! It wasn’t.  Also on my Bermuda Bay background I covered my Shells in Wink of Stella to give a touch more glamour and sparkle.

I stamped lots of seahorses on my lid, stamp and colour before you score.  If you like the look of the seahorses but do to want to spend lots of time colouring you could leave them uncoloured or maybe just colour in one, they still look great.

Since the new catalogue came out I have not got round to ordering much ribbon, I received some of this beautiful Scalloped Trim Lace at Onstage, I wanted to use it but it’s Very Vanilla And wasn’t right on my box so I gently coloured it with my finger dauber and some Coastal Cabana ink refill.

I started calling this my Luxury Gift Project as it looks glam and special and it is time consuming, but really fun to make.  There is quite a lot of colouring which I can find relaxing, if your not so keen on colouring you could easily lose the stamping on the box lid and use DSP instead.

Try this in different colours and it will change the look completely, you could change the stamp set! Steady on.

I am so happy with how these turned out and am thinking of having a special class for the cards & box, let me know if your interested in joining me, based in Essex.

I made two videos, one for the cards and the other for the box!
